Information for Tenants
Hendys are a very reputable property management agency handling approximately 300 occupied properties in the northern suburbs of Leeds. Hendys has membership of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) and all our staff regularly attend their courses to keep up to date with legislation and trends.
Tenants are subject to a credit check administration charge of £90.00 each via cash or cheque only. This is non-refundable. Once we start to process your application you will be required to pay a holding fee of £200 per property. Payment of this money reserves the property. If you then withdraw your application, Hendys reserve the right to keep the £200. However, if for any reason Hendys decide not to proceed with the application, you will be entitled to a refund. We do not accept housing benefit. Properties are only secured when all tenants have been referenced, a month's rent and bond have been paid in cleared funds (cash, debit card or banker's draft), and all parties have signed a contract. All tenants are expected to pay their rent by standing order. Please note that all our properties are non-smoking environments. The contract is for a minimum of six months duration. Proof of identification such as driving licence or photo ID must be given before any contract is signed and therefore prior to any tenant moving into a property.
